Reflection

These pictures were sent to me recently by my very good friend and old neighbor.
aka: my chosen family
These were my final moment in paradise.
Photos that are simply a reflection of a moment in time when I really felt my heart hit the cement pavers of where my soul lives.
I left 1/2 my house furnished with my stuff.
I watched all of my neighbors hand over their fun flamingo, palm tree, beach scene keys to the new owner...and after I did my final walk through and had enough tears to flood California, I handed the new owner my gate opener and my martini cocktail key.
It wasn't the house that I loved, it was the memories that we created in it.
Actually that's only 1/2 true. I LOVED that house. I loved everything about it.
It was my home. A home that I never thought I'd leave.
So please excuse the swollen puffy face from my 2 hours sleep the night before and all the tears...all.the.tears...
As soon as these photos were taken, we 5 people climbed into my car and drove ourselves to our new world, where my wonderful husband was waiting on us.
4o24 will always be special to me.

It was a labor of love~

W photos

I'm finally getting around to some media organization and just wanted to post these ones of W, his 6 year photos.
He recently gave himself a haircut.
If you're ultra observant, then you will notice that the front curls have all been chopped. What's even worse, but not really visible in the photos because the curls are sort of hiding it is the 1/2 inch chop job going on in the very front.
He's all business in the front with a party in the back.
My son gave himself a mullet.
I tried to even it up without buzzing him. He has promised he'd never do it again, maybe because of the harsh criticism he has received and the photos of mullets on the web that I showed him...insert *horrified* here...

& a little EG love...

1st day of school photos from Aug 4 & a little catch up

G~ freshman year of high school, gulp

C~ first year of middle school grade 6

W~ first grade

*I'm so behind. When I have time to blog, I don't and I'm trying to not feel any pressure to keep up with it, otherwise I'll close up for good and be gone.
*The kids started school in the middle of summer, Aug 4. So we've been knee deep in homework & football for awhile now. Things are going smooth in school so far and I'm very proud of how hard they are all working and have adjusted to this Ga life. So proud of them all!

*My boys have all entered a new phase in their life and though it's exciting watching them spread their wings, it's also scary. Parenting gets trickier. Teenagers should come with a manual.

*This is the first year I haven't reminded everyone to remember Mary L0u, the world lost her bright sunshiney smile on Sept 11 and though I didn't blog, I remembered. How could I not?
*My M0m will be coming this weekend with my grandm0ther & will meet her granddaughter for the first time.
I'm happy that they are finally going to meet the amazing little person behind the photos that I've sent, but sad she's been home 15 months and this is the first time. Whatever, it is what it is.
*I have finally finished our travel vide0, but have yet to figure out where to upload it to since it's 30 minutes and it's such a huge file. I have seriously worked 2 solid weeks on it. What a pain, but it's DONE! Next up, the photobooks & quilt.
